Crafting with cupcakes

Here are a few images of some of the cupcakes I have made and decorated.

I know I should probably stick to decorating all of one batch in the same style, but I have too much fun and end up giving each cupcake its own, individual character!

Basic Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups flour
¾ cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup milk
½ cup oil
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence

Method:
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and beat well until smooth and creamy.
Place paper cups into muffin tin and fill each cup 3/4 full.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180° C.

Icing: Cream together 125g margarine and 125g icing sugar.
Add two tablespoons of milk and mix well.
Add cocoa or food colouring.

My favourite icing is a cream cheese icing made from;

1 tub (230g) cream cheese (low fat is fine)
1/2 cup softened butter
2 cups icing sugar2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla essence
